If you woke up in Northeast Florida over the past few days, you know that there are numerous forest fires currently burning across our region. The dry conditions are no doubt the result of fewer hurricanes over the past few years. I'm not sure if that's a good trade off or not, but it sure is wrecking havoc on my allergies. A high pollen count, coupled with thick dense smoke does not a happy Ed make.
The second cartoon deals with the looming debt crisis in the student loan industry. With the housing bust and the problems in Europe, this one seems to have been largely over-looked by the media. But it's coming, and it ain't gonna be pretty. Oh, and guess who will end up picking up the bill on all of those defaulted school loans?
